There's a New Boutique in Town...
Ladies...just a quick heads up. There's a new boutique in town, and trust me you're going to LOVE it. Well, maybe not 100% new if you've visited the pop up shops that have been occupying downtown the last year or so, or are familiar with Bay City, but this place is gonna blow your mind. And, it's in the awesome up-and-coming New Center neighborhood. Okay, I'm sure the suspense is killing you...the place is...
This lovely shop is owned by Laura Horwath, and is her second location of Ferne. It's located just a stone's throw from the Fisher Building, and is on a block of Woodward with a lot of other soon-to-be businesses and restaurants. I can tell this is going to be the next big "borough" here in the city.
As you can see from the photos below, the space is large, open and has an industrial vibe with the exposed brick logo mural and high ceilings. The eclectic furnishings and decor add the right amount of flair, but still let the clothes and accessories being sold do the heavy lifting.
I had the chance to attend a soft opening launch a little over a week ago, to get a first look at the space and loved it! I didn't want to tease you guys with all the gorgeous clothes until I knew it was open, so I'm sharing with you all now. So, go see for yourself because they've officially set up and are ready for you to shop til you drop.
You'll find staple pieces, denim, cool accessories local to Michigan, and some fun pops of pattern and color. They also have some fun home decor accessories, so if you're in need of a fun little gift for a girlfriend or coworker - check this place out. Most items are pretty reasonable, and quality is great! I picked myself up a fun, sparkly sweater for fall, and can't wait to head back and grab some denim and layering pieces as the temperatures continue to drop.
Welcome to Detroit, Ferne! We're happy to have you.
