BRANDING, WEB DESIGN + COLLATERAL
A mortgage lending practice bringing genuine warmth into a category typically dominated by cold, corporate brands. The work paired a feminine, editorial visual identity with a website architecture that walks first-time buyers and borrowers through what to expect, reducing anxiety before the first conversation.

Strategic Narrative
The Brief
Diana came to Dssentials wanting a brand and website that brought genuine warmth into a lending category dominated by cold, masculine-coded competitors. The strategic challenge was holding two things at once — the credibility a financial services brand requires, and the personal warmth that makes Diana different from every other lender in her market.
The Strategic Decisions
The visual direction was deliberately feminine without being decorative. The DE monogram, warm neutral palette with rose and earth accents, and editorial layout treatments all signal that the experience of working with Diana is different from the standard mortgage interaction — not less rigorous, more human.
The site architecture centers the client experience over the transaction. The journey timeline component on the Services page walks first-time buyers and borrowers through what to expect step by step, reducing anxiety before the first conversation. Compliance language and NMLS positioning are built in cleanly so the site reads as professional without feeling like a legal disclosure dump.
Brand and web design were engaged together because they're strongest as a system — the warmth on the website only works if the brand system supports it across every touchpoint.
The Outcome
Diana now has a digital presence that reflects who she is and how she works. The site is doing real business development on her behalf — qualified inbound from clients who recognize they want this kind of experience and are willing to choose her over a more recognizable name to get it.

Working with Dssentials was an absolute game changer for my business. Emily brought my vision to life in a way that felt elevated, strategic, and completely authentic to me. My branding and website finally feel aligned with the level of service I provide as a mortgage lender — and the compliments haven’t stopped since launch. Highly recommend to any business owner ready to truly elevate their brand.
Homepage • We used this page to really drive home the color palette, patterns and iconography we created for Diana's brand, all while giving visitors entry points to the major site pages.
Approach • Diana is huge on relationship-building, so we designed an Approach page to highlight the values she stands for as well as a dynamic timeline-view of what working with her entails.
Community • Diana is extremely involved in her local community, so this page spotlights the organizations she's worked with, photos of her with clients and partners, as well as a local podcast she participates in.
Loan Programs • There are many types of loan programs Diana offers her clients, so this page gives a high level overview of each, with a place to either apply or contact her. The best part is the inclusion of her custom icons and brand patterns throughout!
About • The self-proclaimed "Queen of the Eastside" - Diana has a great story to tell alongside awesome professional branded imagery, so we included both here, alongside ways to explore further and client testimonials.
What else did we work on together?
Outside of creating a complete brand suite of logos, color palette, fonts, icons and brand patterns and her custom Squarespace website, we assisted Diana with some social media templates she can use on-going via Canva. These customized templates already have her brand colors and fonts incorporated, and all she needs to do is add some of her own words or photos to advertise things like upcoming speaking engagements, sharing new loan offerings, and more!
Additionally, we created a few collateral pieces and resources such as:
